Maintenance Engineer

Our client operates an investment casting foundry expertly casting in a range of materials, including stainless steels, alloys and aluminium. The heart and soul of the business is in creativity and innovation, and quality is the foundation that the business and reputation was built on.

Due to continued investment, they are looking for a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to undertake electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance, service, and breakdown of specialist foundry equipment, including furnaces, injection moulding presses, and various shotblasting equipment.

THE ROLE:

  • Maintenance, service and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including electrical control panels, 3 phase electrics, control circuits, wax presses, shell room and furnace equipment
  • Assist manufacturing/production team in achieving targets and optimising machine run times
  • Prioritise maintenance requests and carry out planned, preventative maintenance effectively
  • Understand and support plant improvement projects
  • Liaise with contractors on site
  • Support the training and development of apprentices
  • Practice all safety and compliance requirements and encourage others to do so

ABOUT YOU:

  • The successful candidate will be a time-served engineer with an electrical bias and excellent mechanical maintenance capabilities
  • Ideally you will be qualified to a minimum HNC standard and can demonstrate a good knowledge of 415V electrical skills
  • Mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair skills
  • Welding/fabrication skills would be desirable
  • PAT testing experience/qualification
  • Experience of working in an engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • You will be self-motivated, I.T. literate, and have an eye for detail
  • You will be tenacious with a can-do attitude
  • You will possess effective communication skills and be able to hit the ground running
  • You should be able to adhere to all health and safety and company policies
  • You should live within a commutable distance and be able to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK

HOURS:

Monday – Thursday | 07.30am – 16.30pm | Friday | 07.30am – 12.30pm
